Purpose: Improve education of junior residents
Methods/Materials: Twice weekly lectures given to R1 residents during first three months of residency mostly by senior residents and occasionally faculty. Primarily focus on basic introduction of each specialty, establishing search pattern and recognition of critical findings. Feedback obtained through survey and evaluations.
Results: Positive feedback from first year residents and the lecture series will be continued for next academic year.
Conclusions: Introduction lecture series given by senior residents is effective measure to improve education of junior residents.
